Mr. William’s 1965 Ford F100
The Project
Up until the 1970’s, pickup trucks were built for one thing – work. As a result, most trucks manufactured during that time offered the minimum in terms of driver comfort and were designed to haul. Mr. Williams 1965 Ford F100 pickup was no exception. This was a work truck. The key word here being “was”. It’s working days are long gone now that the KTL Restorations team have gotten their hands on it. The standard 240 cu. in. inline-six engine that powered this truck has been replaced with a monster 408 cu. in. Crate Motor from Blueprint that has been paired with a Bowler Transmission. With that added power, a new coil-over suspension system from RideTech was installed, and the brakes were converted to an all-wheel disc brake system from Baer Brakes. A new set of shoes from Coy Wheels complete the transformation of this truck’s undercarriage. The final touch was installing LED lights from KC HiLites. This truck is a stunner and is an eye-catcher at car shows.
