1961 Ford Thunderbird

Mr. Gorman’s 1961 T-Bird

The Project

When you think of classic T-Birds, generally you think back to the “baby birds” from 1955-57, which are so popular in the collector car world. But the “Bullet-Birds” of the early 60’s are some of the most stylish vehicles that came out of Ford’s Detroit factories during the ’60s. Mr. Gorman’s 1961 T-Bird is no exception! Thiis particulary bird has remained in the Gorman family since it was brought home from the dealership back in 1961! It just needed a few things to make it drive and handle like a modern vehicle, while still retaining that timeless look. The KTL Restorations team upgraded the suspension and transmission, and installed a brand new 4-wheel disc brake system boosting the vehicle’s stopping power. It was finished off with a fresh coat of gleaming white BASF paint, turning this classic into a rolling work of art!
